reason I as is I noticed there are 2 kinds and I wanna see which looks better

there is the skunk2 style that has like an "s" curve to it and then there is the general style with the slight like 30degree bend in it

B&M pro-edge has the shortest throws out there. snickity snick.

it's also semi-adjustable. only problem is, it has no bends and has the shifter rather closer to the radio.

I recently just bought an APC shifter piece because my OEM snapped. SO I installed it and drove around for 2 days.

I thiought I bought a short shifter but was a little high for my liking.

I busted out the grinder and cut off 2 inches atleast and then just rethreaded it, I think it looks a lot better because there **** is right at the shift boot now with no exposed bar.

And if feels fawking amazing and I think it looks good and it was a free mod so ya, Id do it again

yea that B&M aint gonna work for me as I have the integra console with the cupholders so the shifter would prolly hit the cupholders or something

hmmmm...need pictures! lol

hey cynikal,
i have a skunk2 duel bend short shifter mated with the skunk2 titanium ****, as well as the integra center console.
i have no problems with it, but if you like a "short" shifter, than this is not what you want, the skunk2 shifter sits at the stock height, its a short throw shifter, i'm thinking about hacking it, but my friends will kill me if i do, cuz i'll ruin a good skunk2 product. but that's my only pet peeve on the shifter is that its reasonably high. but its a good short throw shifter, very smooth and very precise.

yeah, i've got the skunk2 dual bend.. it's supposed to be for an integra but in my civic it sits just about at the stock height, but the throw is really-really short

SOLO shifter on my 88 CRX Si

I know, I know, doesnt look shorter.. there's a reason I got it. the old shifter was cut and welded by the prev owner. Well it snapped in half one day and this was cheaper then oem.

But in reality. The height of the shifter has NOTHING to do w/ the actual throws. this is really short throw shifter. it's the pivot ball's location that makes the difference.

BTW this pic the car is in 1st gear.

The stock thread size/pitch is 10mm x 1.5mm

ahhh, i thought i installed my b&m wrong or something. i have the same "problem" (for lack of a better term) with mine. 1st gear is REALLY close to hitting the console...oh well, the throws are really short and direct.

well, you can always shorten the shift rod... cut off about an inch and reweld the rod.

The shifter will be a bit further back.

It's what I did.

Mammoth Pic of interior with B&M Pro-Edge shifter. I cut off about an inch off the shift rod so it sits back further.
