What a first post. Is this a ***** nilly idea, have your researched this at all? I would look for the simularities between the ls and b20 cranks before making ASSumptions. Welcome to H-T.

Isn't it the same thing? I thought the motors were basically identical except for the B20's larger bore...

The crank from the CRV B20 engine is identical to the crank from the LS engine. The crank from the Prelude B20A engine has an increased stroke. Yes it's possible to use it, but it really isn't practical. The B20A is already presumed to be hopeless when it comes to modification due to it's horrible rod/stroke ratio. If you do pursue this swap, be sure to have the crank balanced perfectly in every way.

that and custom rods are expensive
unless you use the weak 20a rods

yes you can swap the crank shaft from the older b20a ludes and you will have 95mm stroke, you also can get rods from crower since, they make rods for their 95mm stroker kit, your r/s ratio will be horrible, but u will make alot of down low power and torque, you will be putting alot of wear on the engine because of the amount of load being pushed on the sleeves

in order for your engine to last longer, rev smoother, you will probably have to get a deckplate block, this is where it gets expensive, and this is when u need custom length rods, but over all the engine will be safer

you can make alot of power with that setup if u have a head flowing enough air, but dont try to participate in NHRA races because i believe deckplates are banned

b20a crank with rod bearing machined down to b16 size fit perfectly in b18 block with b16 rod.
