I just picked up a 1st gen (88 LS), and I'm having a hard time finding much info about it. Especially since you can't search HT for "1G" or "88 LS", or anything like that.

So 1st gen peeps, tell me more about my car. Where can I get parts for it, what are some common upgrades, interchangeable parts, etc...

Also, my Vin says "DA", but everyone around here seems to call the 2G integras DAs. What the deal? What is our chassis code?

http://www.g1teg.org is better, my buddy with a g1 teg has a vin that starts with DA3.... my g2 is DA9...

92-93 gsr = DB2
90-93 sedan = DB1

well anyways, my friend with a 88 LS-SE has a lot of work done, check his profile on g1teg, "jdmspecda3" is his username, friday night we will be finishing the b17 swap and hopefully get the damn thing cranking.

there isnt much aftermarket support, but they are fun cars.

 

I think they are sweet cars, there was a thread with nothing but integra pics and there was a really sweet gun metal color one, as well as one with a B16 swap. You could make some good power and have a fun car to drive, just don't really plan on breaking any speed records. As for http://www.g1teg.org, that's the best site for 1st gens. There is only a handful of guys, I know on this site.
