hey guys , ive been reading about alot of stolen r's in jersey , i was thinkin watch for like trial users sellin r parts in classifieds cause u never know how stupid people can be , they might be sellin ur stolen **** on here also check on ebay too, i feel u guys who have gotten beat for ur **** , it happend to me with my 10 second stang about 30,000 dollar motor was stolen from my shop in june ,it was brAND new had to passes on it ,and blew a head gasket so pulled motor went to buy the head gaskets came back n everything was gone.... so now ive got an si wich i love more , and also i found out 8 o clock this morning my boys si GONE , we live in subs of philly and there has been some thieving out in west chester to of r's and si's soo hopefully these ******** get caught or killed either or will make me satisfied

trial users are not allowed to post in the classified. vin # needs to be provided for all major things. i see that this dude is just suggesting though.

Speaking of theives...

I caught one of 4 little bastards taking stuff out of my car in my parkade the other day. After having a CBR600F2 stolen, 2 stereos with a total value of around $5 grand over the years, I've gotta say that my elbow in the back of his neck as I slammed his forehead into the wall, then spun him around and kicked him with my steel toed boot was one of the most satisfying feelings I'd ever had. Too bad his 3 buddies got away but since the idiot had only been out of jail for 6 days, there's some chance that he'll squeal on them.

Oh yeah and I also feel bad about it. I feel bad for sending him away in a cop car, not an ambulance. (I'm actually pretty amazed at my restraint!) If I ever catch another one, it'll be a cold calculated shattering of a collarbone. Oh yeah and apparently it only takes about 14 lb/ft of torque to dislocate a knee!!!

Just thought I'd be a glimmering ray of sunshine in this thread of nastiness!!!

on topic though, I think a novel idea would be if someone trustworthy hosted a database of stolen/not stolen Rs VINs with a very simple search function...type in the VIN and it comes up "Not Stolen" or STOLEN, then anyone who posts USDM used ITR stuff for sale that should/does have VIN stamps (motors, tranny, body parts, etc..) must report the VIN to a mod (just like in vehicles for sale) the mod can check the vin and take action. If there is a way to get a list of all stolen Rs VINs from insurance companies this list could then be national not just h-t only (I'm unaware if you're allowed to get this info or not), while I'm sure the success of this whole thing will be minimal as far as recovering parts/getting people busted, I bet it works at least once.
