Default Driver side fan (a/c?) needed?

Just fitted my turbo up, to get it on easier i took the fan off. Is this fan even really needed?

Figured if not i could just leave the damn thing off and save some hassle.

if you want to keep your a/c then yes you do need it. the fan is there for a reason. If you leave it off your a/c will not do squat. Might as well take off the whole sys. and lose some lbs. 98ctr

Like he said ^. If you want to keep your A/C then yes. But as far as keeping the motor cool and keeping the temperature normal then no. I rather have the turbo then the A/C. Just my .02

Anyone know if you can fit a FAL radiator fan instead of the A/C fan on a Civic? Visually they seem about the same size.

i dont see why it would need a fan once the car is moving.. It would be just like a radiator fan, once you are moving the fan does jack squat because there is enough air flowing through your front bumper.Just dont really run your ac when sitting still and i dont forsee any problems. I am taking mine off as well and am still keeping the ac. I'll let you know how my a/c works afterwards.
