project car/truck vs. first bike
dayam.. im in such a debate not sure if i should get a project eg or a bike... i have been thinking all through winter and now springs rolls around...i have been given arguements from both sides... any opinions?
Thats a tough one, one that I always think about. "I could probably have a decent fast car if I sold this thing" All it takes is seeng one of your friends go by on the rear tire, or just climing on and going for a ride with some buds... Get a bike, experience it. If you don't like it you can always sell it and buy your civic.
thanks.. thats tru.. one of my friends is telling me that i already have a car, just get a bike... my mom is against it, but she knows i really want one. even tho im 21, dont want to disappoint the mom.. And it didnt really help when my uncle just got hit by a car when he was riding his bike... he was at a stop sign, and some high school kid hits him from behind... that sucks... more comments plz... thanks

Sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope he wasn't hurt too much. If you have that much concern for your mom, then don't bother with getting a bike. I'm not saying the rest of us with bikes don't care about our moms, but if all you do is worry about a loved one worrying about you, then you'll never be able to fully enjoy riding. Accidents are just a part of what we, as motorcyclists, have to deal with every time we ride. You have to accept the possibility that today, maybe, it's your turn. But you do your best to minimize any possible damage - always wear your gear, pay attention to the traffic conditions, don't ride beyond your abilities (ie, trying to keep up with the faster guys), etc etc. Sorry, I guess I'm in a preaching mood right now.
Regarding your choice of bike / project car, since you've got a car already, get a bike. The car will be your reliable back-up for the daily-driven (ridden?) bike. Or maybe when you need to bring more than one person along. Take the MSF class, if you haven't done so, and budget some money for good riding gear (helmets, jackets, pants, boots, gloves).
And dude, what's with the avatar?!? As if we haven't seen enough of him.
Did you buy his CD?

Make sure if you get a used bike though, check it over for leaks (coolant/Oil) and get something you like. If you want a 6 I would get an F2 or F3, if not something a little bigger. it doesn't take long to be able to ride decent. Depends on the person I guess, but I'm gonna sell mine soon and get something bigger.
