Default sorry for the question but...

ok guys, sorry but i have to ask this question becuae i have searched and got many diff. numbers and i think i might get some more accurate numbers here...what does the nsx do in the 1/4? one of hte places i got info from said that it does around 13.8. can that be? i mean an S2k does a 14.1 but they aren't in the same class what so ever. are they only that far apart?

As noted in this topic...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by nsxtasy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Most of the tests by the major magazines come out roughly as follows for bone stock cars:
'91-94 5-speed NSX Coupe: 13.7-13.9
'97-04 6-speed NSX-T: 13.2-13.4
'97-01 6-speed NSX Coupe: 12.9-13.2</TD></TR></TABLE>

Remember, the magazine tests use standard procedures, like full fluids and all standard equipment (e.g. they don't remove the spare tire) and street tire inflation, so their figures may vary from actual experience where folks don't follow those procedures and where cars may not be bone stock.

For some reason, S2K magazine test figures seem to vary a bit more than for other cars; for example, I've seen 0-60 figures that vary from 5.2 to 5.8 or so, with most concentrated around the higher number. 14.3 is a bit more typical.

Cars that most folks wouldn't consider in the same class can still post similar 1/4 mile numbers. A $20K Neon SRT-4 or a $30K WRX STi can post numbers that are as good as cars costing twice as much or more. That doesn't put them in the same class. Unless you define "class" as "1/4 mile time". Most folks don't.

No. As you can see from these "consensus" numbers (representing the majority of the magazine tests), the '91-94 5-speed NSX Coupe is about half a second quicker than an S2000. A '97-04 6-speed NSX-T is about a second quicker. A '97-01 6-speed NSX Coupe is even quicker than that.
