Default Low idle

i searched and read about low idle in Ht, i got a 93 teg and recently installed a cheap intake, should i reset the ecu first or back out of the idle screw. which will be the best way to solve this problem?

I would make sure that it's not something slightly clogging the air flow. Reinstall the stock airbox and see what that does. If it doesn't solve your problem, then check out the ECU and finally, adjust the idle manually.

EDIT* whoops my bad about the idle speed without the IAC...

yes, i dunno about DA's but i'm guesing it's the same. warm up your engine, unplug your idle air control valve. if it's working properly the engine should drop in it's idle. if not then it's broken and you should replace it wiht a known working one. turn the idle screw so for a G3 it's at 480+/-50rpms then plug the IAC back in and it goes to 750.

the IAC is on the side of the TB facing the firewall, right next to the TPS. the IAC plug is under the sensor.

Reset the ECU first, then leave the car running and loosen your idle screw by a 1/4 turn each time.. so:

1) Start car
2) Let warm up to normal temp
3) Check idle, if still low-
4) Turn idle screw 1/4 turn counter-clockwise
5) Wait 5 seconds
6) Refer to Step 3
