I replied to your post in the RR/AX forum.

Any "aggressive" street/autox pad is great with the Spec VRs.

LOL!
Best reasoning I've heard for a while.

My turbo motor and tranny are still sitting around "all lonely and stuff" ... if anyone's interest in them.
As well as the Hondata and a couple gauges.

Its for sale if someone wants to buy it, but I haven't been makeing much of an effort to see it off.
I'd like to build another/better one one of these days.

BTW -- Motor "package" includes the custom SMSP closed loop downpipe, what's left of the 3" test pipe/cat/Thermal (no muffler and bent at the rear axle), Hondata s200 tuned for/with 850 cc RC injectors/AEM fuel rail and FPR. Tranny is a GSR box with a Quaife, JDM hubs and 36mm axles.

Anyone care to make an offer Please IM me. Ed

P.S. Sorry to jack the thread.

After 6 track days what was left of the OEM rear pads (probably originals) are at the backing plate, i ordered some Ultimates.

The rear end would dance around a bit under heavy braking, i'm curious to see how the car responds to something with more bite in the rear.

If you don't mind, I can spend some quality times with them

Like everyone else - Axxis Ultimates. I would hate to see an ITR with VR Front and Rear pads.

Mine are shot now after a full year of street/highway driving and 8 or so events, so I'm on stock rear pads now.

Next time I'm going to get GT Sports in the rear.

According to the Cobalt site there aren't any VR compounds for the rear.
However, years ago I used to run Porterfield R4 (race) pads front and rear (it worked just fine).

Well.. I meant any really strong pad in rear on a mostly stock (under 200whp?) track ITR. I figured with that much bite in the rear, the rear would lock up if the driver was not really careful.

I'm still on the fence in regards to the rear pads. I'm using GT Sports right now but I might lean towards Ultimates just because of the reduced/no noise factor for street driving (currently - street Ultimate/GT Sport and track spec VR/GT Sport).
