Just got a 1994 LX Coupe and want to update my ECU what should I do?
I just got this car from my grandmother, why she had this car i don't know, but it has only 72,000 miles on it and now it is my turn to break it in. I really would like to MOD this car but i really don't know where to start. I know most people do cold air intake, but i think i want to start with a chip. What do ya'll think?? I also would like to lower the car 1.5in and get some rims. Another thing that I want to do is get a rear fog going, this is something my friend with a VW has done do you know how to do it on the upper red part of the LX tail light? I have searched all over the place and i can't find instructions any where! So, send pics and give suggestions! I want a freaking tight ride.

Well with a ecu upgrade you are basically telling the engine computer whatever what it can do.....for example adjusting a/f ratio, redline etc, honda does a really good job stock. Now once you get some FI or more bolt ons (cams, ignition, new pistions etc) consider doing a ecu upgrade because you will net the most gains. Stock ecu will give you good results with minor mods (i/h/e etc).
Personally (I know I will get bashed on this but) I think the intake sounds much sweeter and stronger than any cat backs or mufflers. There is only one that I have heard that I liked better than my CAI and that was a moded s2k (my opinion of course) but ,on accords, I believe that's one of the most pleasurable mods for the money exc. turbo of course

I want to thank you for all your help, some great suggestions. I am also curious to know where and what to look for in turbo options. I want to stress that this is a daily driver so i want to keep my modifications modest. As for a cold air intake, excuse my ignorance but what is CAI? What are the real benefits of Cold air intakes, power gain vs. cost? And does anyone have an answer for my light question i will have to find a pic to show you what i am talking about.
