Buy a manual for your car.

Your best bet is to unbolt the spindles (both sides) and remove the axles and midshaft. To do this raise the front of the car so the wheels are off the ground. Once the axles are out you want to support the chassis in the current position with jackstands. Next remove all wiring & miscellaneous plugs etc. from tranny, as well as remove the slave cylinder(in front of tranny). Then you want to remove the starter from the tranny. Once the tranny is clear of all obstacles you can then unbolt all tranny bolts. Next you will want to take the jack and support the tranny whille you take out the bolt from the tranny mount. Once this is done you can lower the jack and as you do this the tranny and motor will shift downward. Be carefull that the tranny doesn't drop on the floor or your chest. 2 people are recommended for this part. The tranny may need to be pryed on to fully remove it from the motor. Once the tranny is off then you can reverse the steps to put new tranny in.

That is the best thing you can do. I did this same think to my vx. You might have to re-align the clutch(not sure). I just got a new cluth so we just installed that. Yes you can jack it up in the front. It takes a little more work to get the tranny back in once you get it out. Have to have someone that can hold it on there chest and sorta benchpress it up so the bolts align. Hope that helps.

not with that attitude!!!

You can do it man. I did mine and it's run for 10000 miles now with no prob, and I'm probably the least organized hobby mechanic in the world. If you have any questions, PM me. It helps to have some friends around, and a tranny jack.

if you're going to do it, might as well swap the clutch out as well.... since everything is off... just a suggestion...since you will already have everything off.
