Default Removing stud from pillow/top mounts

According to this:



You just hammer it out, but i can't picture it. Is that really all you do? What about putting it back in, hammer from underneath?

the stud is splined...just hammer it out...then hammer it back in.

so when you do this you dont have any problems with shock clearance! with the hood? very good idea. i may have to try this on my koni's!

Well, i wouldn't worry too much about hood clearance (if you're talking about the top mounts), just set up a stick of clay or something similar where the top mount would be, and see if it contacts the hood when the hood is down.
