Default Sunroof won't shut all the way

Okay heres my problem. My sunroof won't fully shut. It goes open fine. But about half way on the way back it gets stuck. Sorry I can't be more specific but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

the exact same thing just started happening to mine. The only way I can get it to close is by having a friend push it from the back while I hold the button down to close it. I'm gonna try lubing it up or something with some grease and see if that works.

Two things you should look at:

1. Have you lubed it: Use some white grease in a can...

2. Is it binding somewhere? Can you hear something funny?

Aight I got ur answer of why it wont shut. Mine did this 3 weeks ago. Pull off the sunroof by taking out the 2 bolts u can see. Lift the roof and u will see the rails. I found that one of the bump stops cracked and the roof tab slid out of the rail. If u take out the bump stop(pain in the ***!) u can slide the tab in and close the sunroof. If you try to open it up again it will get stuck again so dont open it unless u have the tools to fix it again. I have not yet found out a quote for getting it fixed but if any of u do please let me know. Any questions?

Yeah I see exactly what you're talking about now. If I were to go to a honda dealership and explain the piece do you think they could get me one?

Okay I took a pic of it. I think it is part 10/11 on the diagram but not totally sure. I found this one cracked and can't even find the other one so this is all i need to fix it hopefully. http://images.cardomain.com/me...8.jpg

I had this problem TWICE... once on my crx and the other on my hatchback si.

Once it was binding because a piece in the railing was broken and the other was because the switch was bad and the contact was transfering enough current.

9 times out of 10 it's the switch. Those got bad ALL the time.
