Default H22A4 bored to 89mm for turbo?

I did a search but didn't find anything related to whether or not a sleeved block bored to 89mm is good for turbo. My thought was that it would make the cylinder walls too thin and it wouldn't hold well to boost. I could be wrong. BTW, I'm thinking of buying a sleeved GE h22a4 block bored to 89mm and bolting my h22a head from my current motor. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

If it's sleeved, then 89mm would be the limit that I would take it. Combined with forged internals, it'll be able to withstand whatever you throw at it. Just concentrate on your TUNING.

You don't think the cylinder walls are too thin though? I want to run 15psi on this at the track and tune it with hondata with a pro. I wonder if my stock head can take that.

stock head is fine, just dont rev the **** out of it. 89 is supposed to be the limit when turbo. i was running 89 and messed something up, so now im at 90 mm and going for 25+psi/500+whp so well see what happens

What happened when you were running 89? And I'll be happy if I can squeeze 300-350whp outta my setup.

a lot of n2o, not enough fuel, and a mis-calculation on timing= really shitty day.

im pushing 300 out of my stock block.

hard to say, but 89 is pushing the limit, if you melt a piston, you don't have
much room to work with

Well all I'm gonna be running is 8psi and 15psi at the track. I doubt I would melt a piston.

i hadnt even got my turbo on yet...besides ill bet you my car you will turn up the boost.

8 psi will last 2 days on the street...then itll be 12-15 on the street...then the track well thats up to you...i dont see 30 impossible for me.
