no, to give you a visual, heres how they compare.

The stock brackets are built for 6.5", so without quite a bit of fab work, you aren't gettin 6x9's in their, especially the front.

true, just buy some kick *** 6 1/2 speakers, you'll be 100% happy with them.

Currently in my Sol, i have 6.5" Infinity Kappa Coaxials in the front, none in the back, and they sound great. Their pretty deep speakers though, about 2", so their not just a bolt in and go, I had to modify the stock plastic bracket in the doors to get it to fit. But they make Infinity reference slim series, those sound really good as well, and their fairly cheap.

I've got cerwin vega components in the front and alpine type-s coaxils. Alpine =

compared to anything on the shop's wall the alpine were the best. and the same price ($100 or less)

6.5" all around to make life simpler.

Also BucsJosh, why dont you put some coaxials in the rear ones? Thats where most of the side is essentially coming from because the front speakers dont do so well in terms of acoustics...

I had Infinity Reference 6.5 component and coaxials in my car before... awesome speakers... They speak for themselves. Good prices too.

If you go Kenwood they have a 6.5 fitting speaker that is 7 inches, it MIGHT fit, if you want more potential and bass

I don't have rear speaker brackets, thats the reason why. I just found some though, so I plan on getting some Infinity Reference's for the rear.

HAHAH! You're funny! And I thought there was some science into why you only had the front ones. ahha
