This has taller gears than an S1/J1 tranny or JDM YS1 LSD. Check out this link:

a YS1 would be the best tranny because it has better gearing, and you can rebuild them without using JDM parts. The YS1 came from a 92-93 gsr (not positive about the years...)
but a S1 or J1 would probably be easier to find and cheaper.

Yup, the USDM YS1 from the 92-93 Teg GSR (B17A1) was the tranny I was looking for, the gearing is similar to those found on some B series cable trannies and the hydro tranny found in the 99-00 Civic Si.
However, I ended up going with a YS1 LS tranny (B18A1) and I will be using it for my N/A setup. The good thing about this tranny is it is a lot cheaper and a lot more plentiful then the YS1 out of the 92-93 GSR. Downside is the gearing is not very good for N/A, but that shouldn't matter to much with the setup I am running.
For the original poster, you should look for a YS1 cable tranny out of a USDM 92-93 GSR if you can find one. Be careful that someone with a LS YS1 does not try to pass of their tranny as a GSR tranny.
