The real Spoon program is worth about 3whp across all rpms on a lightly modded engine.

To get it chipped don't you have to send the computer to them...?
Because that would suck. I've been thinking bout getting mine chipped too, but I can't afford not driving...

Well, the OP is from Arizona near me so he wouldnt have to send it away since I let a shop here local copy my real Spoon program.

lucky you guys, may be I'll make a road trip to get the spoon program, lol.
I don't know of any shop that does it near me, but then again I haven't really asked that much about it.

Would it perform good with a VAFC?

Don't waste your money on a "chip"; they're crap.

Yes, chipped ecu's are crap. The NA ones give you a bit more advanced timing and a tiny bit of fueling with an increased rev limit.... which for the H series is useless on a stock motor. A 3whp gain across the board is blah. I thought I have seen someone in the past get a 7whp increase with a v-afc on a stock motor?

A better solution is to run your stock ecu with a v-afc. It will give you the option of setting your own fuel curves unique to your motor as well as your vtec engagement point. As far as timing is involved, you can do that via the distributor but in my opinion... I would leave it alone. Advanced timing leads to detonation and if you do not know what you are doing you can easily destroy your motor.

well for some reason my car is really slow, and whenever i shift i get a black cloud out back, my friends say it even happens when im not on it. we think im just running rich and that if i swap ecus that the problem should go away, i would probably also be adding a testpipe...
