does anyone have any suggestions on, or know where i can buy an obd2 d16y8 for pretty cheap? just curious if i can get one cheaper than at my local "ripoff"yards. thanks for the help

Check your local swap shops. There is bound to be someone who is selling their old engine.

Out here a low mileage y8 swap goes for like $1000-$1300.. I've seen them as low as free picked up for one with high miles and a tranny that grinds.

If that is your price range, you should get a B18B. Its pretty much the same price as a D16y8.

That's not expensive, thats a f*%@$!# rip off! Sign your life away for paying that price for a Y8.

Out here a Y8 with like maybe 40k-50k miles is going for $300-$400 with tranny
