just hit a curb
well as it say's i just hit a curb this morning i put my azenis on a little early and slide into a curb at about 7-15 miles an hour. cause of late snow we got. my rims are slightly scratched along the outer lip and seems i pushed the wheel back slightly cause iam now rubbing the front left wheel when i turn left it's hitting the back of the wheel well. i am not sure what the cause is yet i have parked the car since it happened and am not sure how bad the damage is i not sure what to think just yet. just wondering if there were any suggestions the forum could offer me right now.
mmmmm, not really, but chances are that you stripped or stretched a tie rod.
It's the bar going from your front hub assembley towards the front of the car.

I bent a control arm last year when I slid into a curb doing 15mph in the snow/slush. Sucked big time.
BTW - how did you manage to hit the curb on the drivers side?

yeah i know i not supposed to be bumping into them but azenis don't fair to well in snow and i did not have time to change them. i didn't check anything yet it's to much snow outside. after it happened i parked it. so we'll find out tommorow. hopefully i am just hoping it's not the frame.
not to scare you....but i just hit a curb going about 10 mph. I bent my lower control arm, snapped my radius rod, and bent the front rear crossmember mount for the lca. I replaced all of that, and the car still isn't PERFECT...and still pulls slightlly to the right. I didn't replace my tie rod end, but the toe is perfect after the alignment. Just caster that was majorly affected and causing the pull.
yeah i hit a curb and popped the front end of my car up onto the center median a couple months ago.. radius rod snapped, but im still trying to figure out whats bent cause it pulls to the left.. i'm just glad i dont have to drive it every day
sorry to hear about that crappy weather, guys! hope things go well and good luck with the repairs!

Thank god I made it through a New England winter with my Potenza S-03's...
I will never go through another winter with Summer tires again! Last two years I've done it and it's a total nightmare. Hitting a curb last year was scary enough, but then I lost my job and didn't have cash to get winter tires this year like I had planned...
Spring and summer are thankfully not far away!

did the same thing before going 40ish...stupid loose steel contruction plate.
snapped the radius rod...broke the knuckle in half, bent/twisted the LCA, bent the lower rear crossmember. Try looking at any of those things.
