code 14 after intake mani swap?????

Default code 14 after intake mani swap?????

my girlfriend has a 97 civic ex w/ a d16y7(p2e).......anyhow i swaped out the gay dx mani for the d16z6 mani, i used the same TB etc... but now the car is reving btween 1k-2k and throwing code14......but on another note it feels waaaaaaay faster

The z6 manifold doesn't have as much vacuum ports as the y7 head so its probably gonna throw codes and ****. Also what gasket did you use, If you didn't replace the manifold gasket then that could also be the reason for a code. I think you would need the VTEC gasket.

Make sure no ports are open.

Hmmm...didn't know that any EX civics came with Y7 engines.

yea... it was the throttlebody gasket (i used the old one like a dumbass)

and my girls car used to have a b18c in it....but then my friend pulled it out and replaced it w/a y7 that had 20k and sold her the car DIRT cheap....
