Default Need big brake kit info

I am looking to put a big brake kit on my 1995 Del Sol. I was wondering if anybody has any information about fitment. I was looking to put on a Stoptech kit but after using their template to
measure millimeter distance from the back of my wheel spokes, it will not fit. Thanks for any information you may have.

what size are your wheels? I believe you need 17" and above for the Stoptech kits. Like the guy above said, try Fastbrakes, they have lots of applications that fit within stock wheels and such...

I have 17" BBS RK wheels. I printed a template of Stoptech's brake kit for the del sol, and the clearance was off by 16 millimeters. My wheel offset is 45mm, a little higher than stock, but not enough to make up the rest of the gap to 16mm. So I have contacted them and am waiting for their response as to why the gap in millimeters is so huge.

you could probably use some spacers so your wheel clears the stoptech calipers, but you're off by quite a bit. You'll end up needing extended studs too after you use the spacers

What model of Del Sol do you have and is it the stock engine. My Sol Si brake's are awesome I take it to track days and autorcross it and I have never had any brake issues. If you slam on the brakes to the wheels lock?
Before bying a brake upgrade I would put new fluids rotors and better pads and see what that does, of course if your doing this for bling more power to yah, just trying to save yah money.

I have an Si, but I put in a JDM B16 a couple of years ago. I really don't need the bigger rotor size. I think I might go with a cheaper rotor and just get some new good pads. I would be more concerned about upgrading the size of my brakes if i had say, a Nissan Silvia or a Supra. Something that would majorly benefit from bigger brakes. I just don't want to get caught in a situation where I order something and it doesn't fit correctly. I haven't driven my car in 5 weeks since I creamed/finished off/decimated my brakes at Willow Springs in February. That is the end result of me pushing hard to stay ahead of a second gen M3........
Thanks for all the suggestions.
