Brembo big brake kit
A friend told me that if I go with the big brake kit on my 93' eg hatch, the smallest tire I could fit would be a 16? Is this true???

Re: Brembo big brake kit (straittalent)
Brembo's advertise their kits only fit 17" or larger wheels. Only the Wilwood 12.2" rotor kit fits a 16" wheel. Wilwood also has an 11" rotor kit that will fit many stock Honda 15" wheels. All the fastbrakes kits, are the same as wilwood's kit, but more expensive. Fastbrakes does offer the choice of 1 or two different calipers. Still expensive.
For the big money, Stoptech is the best kit on the market. All other kits will have a negative effect on brake balance. This directly effects your stoping distances. Larger front brakes cause more forward brake bias. Added forwrad bias will increase stoping distances because your front brakes will be locking too soon. This causes the rear brakes not to work to their full potential. Stoptech is the only company that acutaly designs their brake kits on real cars. They make sure the kit will increase ALL aspects of braking performance (not just fade resistance)...
And no matter what anybody trys to tell you, braking power has absoloutly NOTHING to do with how much horsepower you have...
