CEL came on today

This may be a stupid question, but I have a stock 97 Honda Civic cx and the CEL came on today and I was wondering if a about 3 nice size holes in my midpipe may have caused this?

Probably not. Try jumping the ecu and see what code your getting. You should fix those holes any way even if your CEL comes on for other reasons.
