need some opinions on tokiko shocks and springs
i own a 93 si hatch and im lookin to lowerin it before this summer. i went to a local car shop today and got a price on a tokiko lowering package. the package comes with tokiko springs and shocks. this kit will lower my car 1.5 inches and will cost me $608 plus tax. any advice or comments on this set up will be greatly appreciated. Thanx
are you talking about the ADJUSTABLE Tokico Illumina shock dampers with the Adjustable coilover ??
If not,....You need to stay away from that shop!!

the answer to your question is no. this set up is a non adjustable one. also the price is in canadian dollars if that makes a difference.
I have this set up on my 96 dx hatch and I honestly really like it. It's low enough to make a big difference in looks and body roll without being ridiculous. I think I paid $350 us shipped on ebay.
Unless they are gonna install them too that shop seems way too expensive.
If your stock suspension is beat up then you will see a huge difference with the new parts. I like the way mine handles. Its much firmer but not too harsh. they are a great choice for a daily driver car. You really don't need adjustables unless you are racing.
You will need camber kits btw if you dont wanna munch your tires. I got skunk2 control arms in the front and silvers adjustable links in the back. Both are excellent pieces of kit.

Most products that are twice as exspensive / more exspensive is in most cases a better product.

Yup. Sorry. I didn't look to see where you were from.
The web link I gave is from a company in California.
