Well, It's time to get rid of my first prelude. Decided I don't want to deal with rebuilding her engine and making her run again, so I am selling the car. But before I do, I have some questions for anyone who might know something about this generation.
First off, the car was brought over from Europe and LHD converted by a friend of my family. He says, as does every mechanic who works on the car, that the car is "special" or different or unique from the average 2nd gen prelude, but no one can tell me exactly how ("The engines faster/harder to work on/rare/," they keep saying. I don't buy it). Anyone know anything about this? I know it has a b20A1 engine, and on the back where most cars say "2.0Si," Mine says "2.0Si-16". Never knew what that was about for sure, but my guess is it's stating the fact that my car haas 16 valves. Anyway, if anyone has any info, I would appreciate the help.

Oooo. How much are you asking???? The b20a that came with the 2g is different than the 3g b20a. The tranny off your engine looks more like it came from an a series. Many of the common maintenance parts have to come from other Hondas.
This is your engine and a little of why its so hard to work on: http://3geez.com/showthread.php?threadid=86
This first link is for a translator so you can look up the acctual specs off of Hondas site, whitch is the second link: http://world.altavista.com/

Hey, thanks for the help. As for how much I'm asking, well, the car's not in great shape. Dented up front-right headlight area, terrible paint job, not much rust though. So unless I hear my engine is worth more than I thought it was, I am only looking for 500 from the car, which right now seems like I am going to get from a salvage yard. The engine itself went through a timing belt snap, and at least bent some valves. Rockers and springs look good, though.
Anyways, thank you again for the help...makes me tempted to rebuild. Nahhhhh
