Default freakin brake dust shields!

hahaha...anyways, last night I finished doin a SI to VTEC front brake swap on my 4th gen prelude. Obviously the dust shield is smaller so I try to take them off with no luck. the freakin screws are rusted on. Anyways, so I wanted to finish so I just bent them back. well I guess I didn't bend them back far enough so they were scraping the rotor a lil bit. Anyways, any suggestions on how to take off the dust shields? I don't wanna rip them off cause I might need them later. TIA. Yeah, braking feels a lil bit better only cause my driverside caliper was messed up. hahaha...haven't really tested them out yet.

Did you try spraying some WD-40 on the screws and use a pair of needle-nose vise grips?

I did the same swap and I just bent them back a little. They've been like that for over 30k mi and no problems. If you can't get them off its no big deal.

OH OK. I know what you're talking about now. yeah, it's pretty tight in there. actually, the place where the screw was, you had to angle a screwdriver to get at it.
