Default drove a RHD SIR last night

so last night im hanging out in the local parking lot and the owner of a local shop rolls up in his new ride, a genuine JDM SIR hatch. he told me he had bought it but was still trying to figure out how to register it last time i talked to him, i guess the car came into NJ (of all places) a few years back and has sat ever since, its a 92 with 25,000KM (about 16,000 origional miles and the honda primo maintence sticker proves it in the door jam) it has all the dents and scratchs though and needs a pretty fair about of body work but the car runs like a dream and is registered, and insured but just isnt inspected yet. i'll tell you what it iw more odd being the passengetr cause when you wlk up to the car you go to the wrong side and mirrors are facing the wrong direction, and when you're driving its not that bad, but i reached over the console for a seatbelt (LOL) and when i parked i went to grab the e-brake i cracked my hand off the door. i'll tell you what it was definatally a once in a lifetime experience, i will get pics asap but for the mean time here are some pics he already posted in another thread. and he let a few of us drive it around the parking lot..... big to you dennis

im not gonna name him cause im not gonna subject him to IM's with all kinda of stupid *** questions. i'll give you a hint ...... JDM key

i think i might cruise up to the dealer he works at and snap a few more pics later today, but its snowing so dont expect much

i drove one crx sir back in november and the first thing i did was turn on the windshield wiper because i thought it was the turning signal took a little time to get use to, but not hard at all, but you perception of a right turn is funny, because you are so close to the curb, and shifting with your left hand is not bad either, a lot easier then i thought it was going to be.....

Quick question about these cars...I've always wondered.

When you shift, is it the same pattern is a USDM car or is it reversed?

Yeah, it's the same pattern. think about it, when people get JDM motor swaps, it comes with a JDM tranny as well. have you ever heard of people having to shift opposite with their new JDM swap?

I think I remember seeing that car for sale on ebay a year ago. Some jdm importer in Patterson, NJ was selling it. Ask your buddy if he knows about that importer, I have been trying to get a hold of them.

Belle Vernon....i have relatives that live there. YOu ever played mini golf right there by the food-store...whatever the hell its called. There is also an icecream shop that used to serve ice-cream in little plastic baseball caps. If you remember any of this it would be funny. I havent been out there for years but yeah....i know where Belle Vernon is!!
