Default will there ever be a DC5 type R in the US?

It has been a few years after the introduction of the RSX, I think next year there will be a new body style? so Is there going to be an R for the US?

Probably not.If we do it will probably just be a Type-S with ITR badges and lips and wing.

i know right? It'll probably be the Type S with HFP package (like what they did with the EP3).

Otherwise known as the "A Spec"

right, what i meant was that's what they've given us, so we probably won't see the ITR.

Indeed. I wish Honda would take a chance like VW did with the R32 and send over a real hot hatchback, but I know that won't happen hehe

The Type S is a good car. Just need a couple of refinements like LSD HID and a lil other things. The brakes are already really good.

Exactly what he said^^^^^
If we get anything I'm sure that will be it.... however there might be a spot for a TSX-S.....

this argument has been brought up many times before. no one in their right mind will pay 25 grand for a civic type R, and 27 grand for a integra type R.

We already got the Type R... It's called the A-spec. Bad thing is we didnt get any of the real aspects of the type R.

So to answer your question...NO, we will never see it. As for a TSX-S now that may be something I will get or just wait for the TL which will hit very soon with a TURBO!!

TL-T.....I don't think so.....Honda might jumbo on the AWD band-wagon, but not a turbo....and if we DO get a tsx-s it's likely to have AWD and the 03+ Accord v6 motor..

^^ your probably absolutely correct about jumpin onto the AWD bandwagon, but this would be a performance AWD vechicle i would assume...not another CRV wanna be crap mobile..

and as for the RSX type R...no way...27 grand for a teggie...noooo wayyy

Edit: How long is the RSX going to stay in production?
Any body changes planned for 05/06?

Well the EP3 is at the end of it's tracks, so I assume 2-3 years for the RSX, unless sales pick up...no major changes I see HID's and heated seats, maybe a slight change in the headlights and taillights....

Yeah most likely they will change the car in 05. Probably offer all red tailights, heated seats, new rims, and different style front and rear bumpers, with a new style of front and rear lips, also offer a new style of side skirts.

You may want to purchase the newest issue of honda tuning. They have a brief article regarding this car. It may hit shores, but more then likely it will.
It will come standard with a turbo, awd, 6speed, brembo brakes, and lsd. Sounds like a beast of a car for me and the future family.

It's either this or a 98 R33 skyline as a family car.

even if honda does the TL-T, why pic the TL? its a family car not a race car. plus i am sure the price will get jacked up to the 40k range

Hahah, I'll take that family car that will be pushing more then 300+ Family horses under the hood. 40k + will be a decent price to pay for a luxury car that can still hand many people thier asses on the road.

i don't think it will come over either...but I read somewhere that honda is gonna release redesigned models for civic and rsx for 2006 so the 2006 rsx might have the k20a.

on the other hand, i think the only type R thing if it does come here is the K20a engine. it would proabally still be called the type S but with the k20a
