Default f22a tranny gearing

Is it any different than the f22b tranny gearing? I am trying to find parts for my tranny conversion, and there's somebody local selling an F22a tranny with upgraded clutch assembly. Just curious if it would be worth looking into.

Also, I heard that you can swap in the H-series diff with the 4.27 final drive so that you have the taller gearing of the f-series but the faster FD of the h-series for a happy medium. The tranny I'm considering has a welded diff  so I thought maybe this would be a good idea if prices are right.

According to this list the F series tranny has a 4.06 FD unless it was a wagon, then it came with the 4.27.
