Default HELP please! Tach install.Wire traced to engine not connected!!

installed an aftermarket tach to my civic cx hatch.
power, ground and light wire were all hooked up fine and working but tach wasnt reading....
wire was traced to engine bay and found it NOT connected! (pointing in pic)

anyone else run into this problem?
would tapping it to the other blue wire (just underneath what im pointing to) fix the problem?
did search and didnt help. sorry for the bad pic!
thanks
andy

on 92-95's there is a blue or green wire (cant remember) right there that doesnt connect to anything (at least on civics without factory tachs), and that is what you connect the tach to.

i just did it and it still doesnt work!
the car actually turns over wierd/weak when the wires taped.
cant figure out the problem. if the wire isnt connected to anything on that end of the engine, how could the tach work when the other end (to the cluster) isnt connected to anytinng to the engine?!

well since no one knows and for future reference, i fixed the problem.
i had to tap into a wire off the distributor and not the wire mentioned above, in this case.
