I am going to turbo my civic and I was wondering if the egt gauge is helpful or is it just a waste if money?

 

it is helpful but a wideband o2 will tell you more. egt's are good because they will tell you if timming is too far advanced or retarded. in unison with a wideband it is a great tuning tool. dont get me wring it is a good tool on its own, but it will tell you if you are rich or lean not how rich or lean.

 

i was wondering the same thing but what do u have to do to hook one of those up?
