Default Thinking of selling my R..

Hey guys,

I have a 2002 ITR which I'm thinking of selling. I've had a yellow 2001 ITR, but got rid of it when my spoiler was ripped off. Couldn't get a good match on the paint, so I unloaded it for a 2002 champ white model.

I drive the car like 10 times a year, literally. I store it in the winter, im scared to drive it anywhere in the summer and I work all the time which makes it hard just to take a nice relaxing rip around with. It has 15000kms on it.. mint condition. I figure I can flip it for $25K or so along with my 2002 P5 and buy a BMW or TL.

What do you guys think?

It's sad to have to sell it.. there's no other car like it.. but I can't justify paying for a car I never drive. It's sad that so many people are crooked and try and steal every part off the car too. Do you guys find that?

if its a 2002 dc5 R, ill cop that **** from you cash, if youre dumb and did not know that usdm itrs stopped in production in 01 then 25k is kinda steep considering thats what they were from the dealer.

if you cant justify paying for the car because you dont drive it, why are you gonna by another car thats even more expensive if you are just too damn busy to drive.

people make no damn sense in here.

Soooooorry. It's a 2001 ITR. I was thinking 2002 which is the year of my P5.

I'd try and get 25K CDN, which is about $18.5K US.

As for getting a new expensive car, if I got a BMW, I wouldn't care if someone stole it, or scratched it, or stole the emblem. A BMW is replacable. An ITR is not.

If my ITR were to get stolen right off the street tonight, my insurance company would give me $20K CDN and say good luck!

No way in hell you are goin gto get 25 k CAD for it! Too many cheap new cars out now. Should have sold a year and a half ago. If you look in the trader (http://www.trader.ca), you will see that even auto dealers are selling 2001 ITRs with 21km on them for $22900, and they are always over priced. There are 2 ITRs being sold by private buyers who have more kilometers, and want more money People overvaluing their cars again.

18.5k usd isnt a whole lot for a well kept single owner itr.

if he has an audit trail of maintenence, as well as vehicle history in place, theres no reason he cant get around 18k.

Let the suckers buy a itr from a dealership or some idiot who was spraying nos and replaced the head with a b16 to save themselves 3k.

Yea.. I have a Honda specialist who is the only one I let work on my car mechanically. I have an AEM CAI and JR springs.. that's it. The rest is stock.

The paint and interior are mint. My brother is a detailer, so it's kept well.

Any takers in Eastern Ontario?

I agree with Tom. I think this guy is asking a very fair price for his R. 15k kilometers on the car? It's practically brand new.. If the car is well maintained and unmolested like it sounds, the price is fair..
