Default QUESTION ABOUT GEAR GRIND

when i first got this car i didnt know but it has a hard time engaging into third sometimes. (its brand new) it would feel like it clicked into gear but it was really in between neutral and third. i did this a couple times and i would hear a slight grind noise from the syncros. and it would pop back into neutral. could this be bad or nothing at all? does it take alot of force to damage the syncros? and if they were damaged and not covered under warrantee, how much do u think it would cost to fix?

It's not normal to pop out of gear. Just take it back to the dealer and have them service the tranny.
