98 dx gauge cluster swap (swapping in an SI cluster)
I have a 98 dx and Im putting in an SI gauge cluster. To swap the odometer do I have to swap out the entire speedometer to the SI from my DX?
I don't want to do this because the dx speedo has a purple trim and would not match the si cluster.
Could I just swap out the Odometer?

I'm pretty sure you have to swap the entire cluster.Maybe EKs or different from my eg,but I doubt it.

Just write down the current mileage of the DX cluster and the current mileage of the SI cluster so that if you ever sell the car or need to report the mileage to the insurance company you'll know the actual mileage.
Ive heard that you could just take out four screws and just the odometer would come out, without the seedometer trim.....so you could then swap it into the new cluster.
