Default Grind gear tranny??? or clutch plate pressure??

remember i post the grind gear for 93 vtec lude , well i took it to my mechanic to check it out , and he say it's the clutch pressure plate. is it possible. AND ONE MORE THIS WHAT MAKE GEAR GRIND????as i know there alot of thing can make gear grind

If your clutch isn't disengaging all the way then yes, it could be.. But the way you said how it happened, doesn't sound like a clutch.. I have missed upshifts to 3rd from time to time, and often the griding just gets worse.. Hell, I could be wrong, I hope it is your clutch, thats a lot cheaper..

If it's your pressure plate you'll ahve a LOT of trouble getting it into 1st gear when sitting still. And it won't be jsut one gear that grinds.

I've done both. lol And it sounds more like a groud off gear face or fugged up sychro.
