OK heres the deal. All of a sudden the car died at the light and wouldnt start again. I noticed that the Fuel Pressure guage read 0 at the rail. OK so i thought i blew the fuel pump. But then i noticed that the main relay wasnt doing its normal click over sound and was not telling the fuel pump to prime. SO now im thinking i blew the main relay. Well $70 later i find out the relay wasnt the problem. I manually sent the signal no the relay to turn on and it does. Now it sent the signal to the fuel pump and the pump primed. Can anyone tell me why the ECU is not sending the signal to the main relay to ground it out. The weirdest thing about this is that the CEL is on but stays on. There is no code at all. Even when i plug in a p2p or my coverted p28. Nothing happens. The CEL doenst even flash or think about going off. I checked all my fuses and nothing is blown. SO long story short my car doesnt start, the main relay isnt gettting a signal from the ecu and the CEL is nice and brite on my dashboard. ANy help would be much appreciated. Hey actually i jsut fixed it. I could not believe it but the map sensor had a punched wire that came off but i never would have known because it was far down the loom when i found it. I ended up tracing every single wire from the engine back to the ECU until i found the map sensor. Let me tell you how frustrating this is. I am a honda tech in NJ and the guys at the shop had no clue where to start nor was there a proper diagnosis to fix this acording to the Honda shop manuals. I just used a wire diagram and worked backwards and found it.
