Default chips in hood - Langka

H-T, I did a search on this issue and there isn't too much noise on this stuff.

I've got an '02 Accord Coupe that I bought new about 15 months ago. My job requires me to drive quite a bit, so I'm close to 26k miles (mostly highway). Thanks to all the highway driving, the hood has taken a few hits from stones... etc.

What do you folks usually use when your hood gets messed up due to regular highway driving?

When I bought my car the dealer was selling some clear plastic adhesive that would cover the hood. It was primarily marketed to the S2000 crowd. Anyone have any experience w/ these? Last thing I want to do is shell out hundreds of dollars for body work.

Yes, I really did a search: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=415200

Thanks.

well basically nobody does bras or half-nose masks anymore. So either getting a clear adhesive, repainting the hood, or just living with it are your only options.

you must have a dark color like black, huh? i hate dark colors cause they show so sractches and chips too well.

Your option pretty much is to take it to a body shop and have them sand it down and reshoot it...

dont tailgate trucks, jeeps, pickups and yea those clear strips do work but you can see it if your close by and it looks pretty ugly, like a saran wrap is over your car, but just barely noticeable... i have tons of little bottles of touch up paint
