Default Advancing timing on a 11.5:1 GSR engine...

I currently have my timing a bit retarded as the engine is untuned, but I am putting on the afc this weekend and just was curious..

What kinda base timing are you guys running with 11.5:1 (or a lil higher) on your engines ? I was gunna start with the stock timing of the gsr engine and work up from there once I get to the dyno... but I want to make sure stock timing won't be an issue until then.

On top of that... what kinda base timing do you all run on a daily basis with 91 or 93 octane gas ?

I would say that stock timing should be fine for 11.5:1 CR.

I personally know of a member of H-T (P1mpslap) that runs close to 13:1 with no timing retardation WITHOUT detonation.

Remember, this is on Georgia 93 octane.
