Default Osaka Motors and Knock sensor ?

Just a heads up to everyone that is looking to buy a motor through Osaka. Not only did they send me an incomplete motor (no mounts, broken sensors, wrong ECU) but stuff has been breaking left and right. They do not honor their so called warranty...which caused me to have to buy a distributor out of pocket. (By the way if you mention Honda-Tech to Distributor king you get 10% off) So being in Law School I am going to file a nice complaint and see if I can get some money out of these bastards.
Anyways...when I drive for a little while I throw code 23...(knock sensor) its plugged in and I cannot figure out if its dead or not. Right before it thorws the code it sputters a bit. Any ideas?

I have heard nothing but horror stories about Osaka in the past year and a half.

Since they are a sponsor of this site, talk to the site admin and see if he can help you out any.

Good luck.

hmmm...did u buy a full swap or a long block? cuz on the long blocks they dont warranty the accessories and sensors and ****, including dizzy.

And it seems with them, they really like to ship out the **** motors, cuz i went up there and personally picked my motor out, and i got a mint one, , and to top it off the workers there were really cool.

I am running a p13.

I got the full swap. And the problems began there. They didnt pay the full shipping costs, so I have to pay 50$ additional to lift the motor from the truck to my garage. Then I find out there are no mounting brackets, the shift linkage was destroyed, axels we all kinds of messed up. And my favorite of course was that they gave me the wrong ECU. Now they were pretty cool about "offering" to send me some of the **** they left out but its kinda like I need my car immediately. Therefore, after I bought everything I needed, instead of offering to pay for the parts, they offered to send me the parts so I could sell them on Ebay. (what kinda bullshit is that) They did send me a new ECU, and marked the shipping as that I would pay. SO the way I see that I was to pay for their negligence.

All and all its been a pain in the *** to deal with them. The guy I bought the motor from told me for 3 weeks that he was going to send me a distributor and then suddenly claimed they didnt have any and I was out of luck. So basically they have stopped taking my calls. In the legal world this is called bad faith. You cannot promise **** and then do something else.
Sorry for the long post, its just really really irritating when you spend like an *** load for a swap with a 3 "month warranty" and they dick you over.

Yeah my friend ordered a B18C-R and it came with no axles, exposed distributor wires, no reverse, beat to death clutch, and the incorrect ecu.

Keeping it technical

sounds like your knock sensor is damaged... If everything looks in tach, you'll have to replace it.
