he just has an intake. how often do you see people have just an intake drop them down to almost a whole second?

it's not impossible... and a car with suspension modifications will run lower numbers than the same car on stock suspension....

slammed si, with a cai.... 15.8-16.0 = stock to 15.1 = not impossible...

Definitly a good run with those mods or should I say MOD. What was your 60ft and 1/8?

It's pretty hard to believe that a SI w/ just an intake can run 15.1. Even with a great driver, running 15.1 is pretty tough on a car that does high 15s stock. But, eh... what do I know. Things happen. =]

60ft times?

TIREs also make a HUGE difference........when i ran my '00 Si back in 2000 (wow, 4 years ago) i could only muster a 15.6 @ 88

THE STOCK michelins are HORRIBLE, then again, im sure he doenst have 4 year old tires on his car. none the less, with only an intake, this Si owner gives your buddy a

it was my buddies run, 1st time at the track as well. i remember the trap speed being around 90-91 mph but i dont have the timeslip with me and he's asleep, but i will post it up tommorow, and i assure you it DID happen, i have it on video and will try to post it up tommorow. and all he has is an intake (AEM cold air i believe, i will find out specifics tommorow). another buddy of mine let me take his SI down the track for the first time. he has intake and exhaustm big system and i pulled a 15.8 around 88.5 mph and was happy with that, considering i hadnt driven in a month(suspended license ) and first time driving his car, but we are talking about close to 1 full second faster here. i still cant figure out how he did it the more i think about it, the harder it is for me to believe. for this fast stock SI

Impressive, he must have some sticky tires or great launching skills.

That's what a good driver at elevation should run w/ an intake. Obviously not everytime though. I ran high 14's in an Si with I/H/E, suspension and good rubber. I've seen people have freak runs of like 14.6-14.7 too, but I would never quote those times as normal.

Really? And what info do you have to back that up? 15.1 is impressive but definately believable. I don't know where you get the idea that Si's are not fast at all but maybe you need to check your sources because they may not be fast but they are definately not slow...people just need to learn how to drive them.
