Default Burning Clutch

I was just messing around with my car tonight and I felt like doing a burnout. So I go to an empty parking lot and get ready to do one. I bring the rpm's up to 5000 and drop the clutch, now it feels like the wheel is spinning but i dont see any smoke so I stop after about 5 seconds. After I stop a little bit of smoke comes out of the right wheel well. Then the smell of burning clutch hits my nose very strongly.

Anyone know what could of happened?, my foot was def not resting on the clutch, it was released fully.

engine is making enough power to slip the clutch and the clutch isnt holding enough to spin the wheels. you need a clutch upgraded my friend.

That doesnt make sense, bro I have a ******* d16z6 with a clutch with a little over 5000 miles on it. Only engine upgrades are exhaust and intake. No way is this little ****** making enough power to slip the oem clutch.

ok if you dumped the clutch, and it didnt spin the tires, but it did manage to slip really bad, one it is adjusted incorrectly, or two it isnt providing enough holding force.
