Default Questions on B20Z Build-Up???

I have a few questions... Im looking at purchasine a B20Z block... and I want to do the CRVTEC in my EG Coupe... I have a B16A2 head as it is, and I was looking at getting some CTR Cams or Crower Stage2/3 cams for it, and ITR Valve/Retainers/Valve Springs... I was thinking about All motor N/A for now since I dont have the money for a turbo kit. I was thinking around 11.5/1 compression. But I was reading some things here on HT and I heard that with aftermarket cams that its not good for it, and will cause some problems. Is there any way that I can fix that? Will I need to get some good aftermaket pisonts? or what??? please let me know thanks....

without aftermarket cams, you might as well not bother. i think you are referring to clearance maybe? or the CR? anyways check the all motor forum, it looks like you need to do alot more research, just do some searches.

good luck

chad quick question did u have any cam timing problems when u used the toda Bs or was there no cam timing bugs at all???? also wit that i hear u can but they suggest shaving the valveclearances correct and u shouldnt adj more than +3/-3 cam timing adjust is this right or are u able to????

sorry for jacking thread but.......nah wait imma not sorry

also why dunt u get rid of that b16 head and go wit the gsr head if u dunt wanna swap to aftermarket pistons. gsr head yeilds higher compression

no issues with timing....why would there be?
what is saving valve clearances?

yes on the GSR head...but i did not want the gsr intake manifold
and i didn't want to buy a gsr head when i had a good b16 laying there....
i could not run a skunk2 manifold cause of rules for http://www.honda-challenge.com
