GSR crank or LS crank ???
what car is it going into?? cause a friend of mine has a LS in a EG with a mild all motor set up, and its fun and its quick. He did it cause the motor was free...with the LS your some what limited with NA, FI is another story. LS all motor will be a easy set up for daily driven, LSvtec will require a prooper build up for a good daily driven set up which could cost alot. It all depends on what you want out of your motor, my bro wanted a low 14 second street car to get from A to B, and thats what he had.
i dont understand y u named your thread gsr crank or ls crank,
but since u already have the gsr head, send it to a reputable machine shop to prepare it for ls vtec, then install higher compression pistons, along with the head at the same time....
thats an okay Lsvtec setup, you also wont need the block guard..
other route, save save save, sell the gsr head and go turbo??
also if u was wondering if you should switch crankshafts, their really any need to...take advantage of the slightly extra stroke...the gsr crank is 87.2mm stroke so u need gsr rods in order to make it work, save the money and keep your 89mm stroke
