For all you Toda lovers. I got some positive info for you.

Today, I dyno'd a:
CRV block (totally stock)
with GSR head
Toda valvetrain
Toda Spec B's
V-AFC
DC Header
Semi-cold air intake.
Skunk 2 intake manifold ( I LOVE THAT THING) DAMn its good. BUY IT.
Full exhuast, resonator, muffler on,
Random Tech Cat.
And the compression was low, as you can see from the above setup...knowing they are slightly dished pistons...
Anyway, I tuned the cam gears, the fuel and the timing for a little over an hour with good results...I will post a graph soon.
He is a member on here also. And a real nice guy, like most of the dudes on here...
183 WHP
133 Lbs of Torque.
And all I could think about....is if we uncorked the cat and exhuast, so I could surely see 190 WHP.
Well...I talked him into a fully built block, so 210-220 WHP is coming soon. OBD2.
Pretty strong motor. It does not idle the best though, but its decent. Holds steady at about 800 RPM, then once in awhile it jumps up to like 1100...then falls back down...not constantly. I would say like a few times every minute. That was as good as I could get it..almost perfect idle, but I think its very difficult.
More on this Toda Lover subject later. haha.
One thing of note i want you guys to realize is that he came directly from another Dyno shop in the area with a GRAPH.
The graph said 196 WHP, 138 lbs Torque. And the baseline, with me changing nothing was 176 WHP.
20 HP less. And it was a Dynojet. It just goes to show you, some Dynojets are not calibrated recently, and that no 2 are going to be the same.
All i could think about was bringing a few of my 230+ naturally aspirated cars over to that dyno, so I could hit like 260 WHP and laugh out loud.
Lucky I just had my dyno calibrated.

Thanks Jeff- also clearing up the other dyno shop- it was only off by 7-10whp, i think all dyno's are. It was at 190whp and 138 tq. over there. Need the high compression though!
Jeff, (you might've already tried this) try leaning out the idle fuel mixture with the V-AFC by about 15% at idle. It made by B's idle almost like stock with just a hint of aggressivness.
I've recently seen a '99 CRV stock block mated to a GSR head that has a port & polish job and is milled slightly. With stock ITR cams, Skunk2 manifold, ITR throttle body, and a DC JDM header, no cat. With an OBD 1 GSR ECU the car makes just under 190 to the wheels. Thats with AEM cam gears and fpr. A very basic OBD 1 set up. And the car idles and runs beautifully. I guess with Toda B's my friends car would probably make over 200 whp. BTW, nice work Jeff.

(I know you know Blade, but others might not...)

I find this hard to believe.
Would an ITR benefit at all from the Skunk2 intake manifold? a friend of mine has one on his GS-R but says it's not worth my money.

Check out https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=79374 , it's about a GS-R though.
thats not bad at all, but personally I would have used spec As because B's are too big for that low compression, and the JDM 4-1 instead of the DC.
Torque is good, but a bit low, maybe its dead on since it is stock piston.
BTW, do you degree the cams or you were not the peson who installed it ?
