K24=torque. The Skunk2 setup is somewhat mild compared to the Hytech RSX that puts out 265whp.

Well the 265 hytech one is still just a regular k20a2. They have basically reworked everything in the engine. New IM, TB, cams, port and polish, header, exhaust, intake, extensive programming.

A k24 block with a k20a(or a2) head would be quite the hybrid. Like putting a b18 or b16 head on a b20 block, this setup offers more torque with a nicer valvetrain. The best idea would be to mate the k20 head to the k24 block and destroke it to somewhere near 2.3 litres so that it can still rev high.

yea that would probably be the plan to destroke it. can a factory crank be destroked or would i have to buy a brand new one?

I believe that import builders has a crankshaft with a shorter stroke available. I think it is a reworked f-series crank from a S2000.

stock for stock the K24 frankenstien will yield the same HP numbers but with 28ish more torque @ the crank.

lets see some fully built K24 engines already! everyone is de-stroking... im sure soon someone is going to stick with the 99mm crank and really make some nice power. I want to see what this engine can really do in comparison, when real engine work has been done.

i am hoping to be that person. just looking for a good block to start with.
Heres what im looking into:
Wiseco 11.5-11.8:1 compression
IB rods
RSX type-s head
ITR or type-s cams
toda header
comptech icebox
fujitsubo power getter
hondata

im just not sure how high the k24 would be able to rev...anyone?

supposively a stock bottom end at 8500rpm will blow up (Im not 100% sure on this though, just passing some info). so im assuming 8000rpm on a built bottom would be attainable. A 99mm stroke would give piston speeds at 5196.9 feet per minute which is compareable to rsx type S @ 9000rpm, with speeds at 5078.7 feet per minute (which i think is done by a few RSX guys on a stock bottom end?).

Im also looking to do a ~12:1 compression, K24/K20A2 hybrid engine... but put it into my EG hatchback

ive got the head already (grabbed it spontainiously from a good deal off ebay), just looking for a decently priced engine! also considering some IB spec rods, they have a few choices and the prices are decent. As for the pistons, i think i will just keep the stock ones until im ready to get re-sleeved and overbored slightly. Header has to be a piece designed for the swap, so that will hold me back a bit... but the ECU will be tuned by Hondata through HASport. Im just a bit confused about what size exhaust i should get? Im thinking 2.5 inch for now, as long as im under 220whp? Im not sure because i know that the accord and TSX have dual exhaust, and i dont know what size the tubing is.

Im collecting parts slowly, to make sure i get the best prices possible, this swap is going to cost me an arm and leg otherwise. So you will probably have this done before me!

But if all fails, and the K24 doesnt give out good numbers at all (which i dont see why it wouldnt, low/midrange should be amazing)... there is always a nice de-stroked crankshaft as an option.
