Default IS TURBO SAFE???

WELL I WANTED GET A GREDDY TURBO KIT FOR MY 97 PRELUDE....BUT I HAVE 93K MILES ON IT....IS IT STILL SAFE TO PUT THE TURBO KIT ON THE MOTOR? CONSIDERING I'M GOING TO STICK AT 6PSI.....AND HOW BAD DOES TURBO WEAR DOWN THE LIFE OF A MOTOR?

On your car, I doubt it. A turbocharger is meant for young, fresh cars. Unless you plan on racing with a 7 year old Prelude with 95k miles almost...

A turbocharger does not kick in until about 1600 RPM, which is rather high for a car with that many miles on it. Instead, I would buy a super charger which works well even at low RPM's.

I disagree, considering there are some beat down *** motors that have low mileage, while on the other hand many high mileage car motor's are still in great shape. Many people begin boosting around 100K, and have success with it. Just do a compression check, etc. And make sure you're not retarded with the turbo, and do a lot of research before u lay the money down. Oh and also, don't write in all caps.

If you do go throught with the turbo kit make sure to have a very good tuner do the work. Don't go with the vafc setup. I did. and I wish that i had bought a stand alone system.
