ok currently the motor has been converted to OBD2, and is running on the 93 B17 ECU, with 1st gen B16 cams. will it run better on the B18C1 cams, they are free if i want? everything else is stock. the car already feels like it has a flat spot in the power band from 3.5k to 4.8k.

 

First of all the P61 (92-93 GS-R) ECU is OBD1. The GSR cams will give you slightly higher lift than
the B16s.

like he said, gsr cams are more agressive than b16, but not by much
