I've seen people JB Weld their blocks....the block of their engine. Sure it can be a temp. solution but go ahead and order a new one.

I would just go get a new one. Or hit up the junkyard.

I used jb-weld to seal my turbos oil return line. The stuff works great if you get the surface completely clean.

Same thing just happened to me about 4 days ago...I was going home from the Canyons and then while making a right turn a huge fu*cking rock was on the road and I had no time to react to it and I ran it over which made a hole on my oil pan....I was thinking of using the JB weld but people say its good for temporary use... So I just went to local shop and have them weld it professionally for 10 bucks....and it hasn't leaked since....hope this helps

JB weld, its a life saver, i used it on my oil return line to the turbo and to the pan, and i used it on the edge of the pan cuz i got my new gasket in there and it leaked cuz i didnt cross torque it lol but yeah, i also used it on some of my charge piping, to patch the leaks in my stupid IC. It hold up very well to heat, i had some of it on the manifold and it didnt burn off, but make sure to use the good jb weld not the quick dry **** that **** burned off my manifold and made a shitload of smoke.

I don't know how much an oil pan is but i'd assume it's cheap insurance to just get a new or used one without a hole in it so you don't have to worry about it. i guess its good for a tmep fix

JB weld is only a temp fix but will work. Buy a good used one or save for a new one

You should really get a new one. Because if you do JB weld it and it starts to leak and you run out of oil and blowup your motor; your gonna feel really stupid for not buying a $30 used oil pan.

So you hit a pointed manhole? Make a report and call the DOT, you never know, they might just pay for it to be replaced.

gahahahaah....hehe

that was some funny ****.

y7/y8's use an aluminum oil pan that isn't interchangeable with the earlier steel pans. as far as I know all the steel pans are interchangeable.
