i searched and i need help on swap wiring
ok so i have a 94ls and i am swaping it with a jdm b18c itr and i sold my stock ls to a guy about a month ago and did not take my stock wiring harness and when i relized i needed it he said "f"you i am useing it and u sold it to me like this so i thought i was screwed then i thought aboit it and i had my 94cx hatch that has not run in months so i decided to pull the harness off of that motor and relized everythign fits good but the atlentar and the injectors so all i did was cut and replaced the way it was on the harness and now all i need to to is drop it in and hook up my 3 wires that i have all ready in the car but i am just won dering if this is all ok and will start up right kinda if the atlentar will charge right and if all of it goes good please help guys and if u want u can call me dumb but i dont know what to do thanks mike
I did the b18c itr swap on my 94 ex, i used my d16z6 harness, you have to re wire your altenator, distributor and swap plugs for your b18c's injectors, if it has a knock sensor youll need to run a wire all the way to your ecu. what ecu are you using, and by the way is it a gsr, type r, sirII? ill try to help as much as possible, Im a journeyman electrician by the way.
its a type r im useing a obd1 pr3 b16a ecu i swaped plugs for my injectors and atl. but not my distributor (what do i neeed to do there) i dont reallly know what else i need but the way it sounds u did it and it worked.....im also useing a b16a distributor

actually jdm engines do have Knock sensors. my B18C ITR has one if its obdII or above it will have a knock sensor.

my plugs were three seperate plugs for d16 distributer, but the itr was just two. if yours are the same just check the wires to make sure their not configured differently. Personaly i would use a p73 instead of the b16A's ecu. but its your party.
ok well i got the car runing fine but i dont know about vtec we have no half shafts so we cant like take it down the street to see what happens but the thing is i dont think it will turn over b/c i did not hook up the oil presser switch and i dont know were ot goes i wish some were on this site there was a pic of the motor were all the wires go like there is pic of were they go in the ecu....thats cool but for kids like me that this is there first itr that they have ever seen were does all the sh*t go in the motor if some one can halp with that i would like it thanks for all your help guys mike
