Default ITR vs CTR tranny

I heard that the syncros on the CTR trannies are weeker than the ones on the ITR tranny. Is that true?

I heard the CTR(EK9) tranny has double synchros. Any truth to that?

Regarding the syncros - are there any oem replacements that last longer?

And why do the B series tranny get all jammed up like that? Is it my driving, or just poor construction? Im on my 3nd set of syncros now - both installed by Honda.

B series trannies are weak as hell.. I'm on the third.. one because of wear and tear (80K .. young drivers) .. another because of a bad shift..

Gotta be nice to them at 8K shifts that's why they get "jammed" so easy .. hehe

Not weak to me. I've gone through a few without any problems at all. It's all in the driver IMO.

My tranny was in very good condition when the dealer took it apart to replace the Inputshaft bearing and other bearings

And now I crunch every up shift

91000 miles (GSR tranny)

no grinds
no bearing noises

many, many ~8200 upshifts
2 track events

waiting for the 3rd syncro to go
